Is Buying MM2 Items Allowed?

The honest answer to the question parents ask first: what Roblox's rules say about real-money item sales, and what that means for your account.

The straight answer

No, it is not allowed by Roblox. Roblox's Terms of Use only permit virtual items to change hands inside Roblox's own systems, and buying or selling in-experience items for real money anywhere else is against them. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Roblox Corporation, and we would rather you hear this from us than from a moderation email.

The line is the money, not the trade, and it is the same whoever you pay:

What you doWhat you giveUnder Roblox's terms
Swap with a playerItems, in MM2's trade windowAllowed: the items change hands inside Roblox
Buy from a siteReal money, on this site or any otherNot allowed
Buy from a playerReal money, in a Discord server or anywhere elseNot allowed

What that means in practice

The delivery itself is an ordinary in-game trade: the same trade any two players can do, using the game's own trade window. Nothing is installed, nothing is exploited, and no one signs in to anyone else's account. From inside the game it looks exactly like the trades happening in every other server.

What we cannot do is promise you an outcome. Whether Roblox acts on an account is entirely Roblox's decision. Accounts can be warned, restricted or banned, and we have no influence over it and no ability to appeal on your behalf.

For parents

  • The money is real, the item is not. It exists inside one game and only has value while that game does.
  • The account risk is the real risk, and it lands on the child's account, not on yours.
  • The scam risk is much larger elsewhere than it is on a checkout page. The danger is a stranger in a private message, not a card form.
  • Nobody legitimate needs the account password. That single rule prevents most of what goes wrong.

There is a longer, plainer walkthrough for parents (costs, refunds, what we can and cannot see, and what to do if something goes wrong) on our Parents' Guide.

How to decide

Weigh what the item is worth to you against the possibility of losing the account it lives on. For a lot of players that trade-off is fine; for a player with years of purchases on an account, it may not be.

If you are under 18, make that call with a parent.
