MM2 Trading Guide

How MM2 trading works: requests, the trade window and its countdown, trading servers, what W/F/L means, and the scams that catch players out.

How do you trade in MM2?

Any two players in the same server can trade, within a few rules:

RuleWhat the MM2 Wiki records
TradeableKnives, guns, pets and miscellaneous items
Not tradeableEffects, emotes, powers and radios, every Unique except Corrupt, and Evo knives such as Reaver
Level10 or higher, since 28 December 2021, as a measure against duping
DevicesAny: trading has worked across every platform Roblox runs on since the Season 1 update in May 2019
Per tradeUp to four different items a side, with more than one copy of each

A trade, a straight swap of items, goes like this:

  • Open the player list in the top-right corner, click the other player's name and choose Trade.
  • A request appears on their screen. If they decline it, it just disappears.
  • If they accept, the trade window fills the screen: your inventory down the left, both offers on the right. Each click on one of your items adds one copy of it.
  • Both players press Accept. Nothing moves until both have, and either player can decline instead, which closes the window for both.

Every change to the offer, an item added or taken out, locks Accept behind a short "Please wait" countdown, and pressing it before the countdown ends does nothing. If the other player changes anything after you've accepted, your accept is cleared and you have to give it again. Whatever is in the window when both of you accept is the trade, which makes the countdown the moment to read it.

If requests never reach you, check your own settings: MM2 lets players switch incoming trade requests off, and while they're off nobody can send you one, although you can still send your own. Trades also break now and then. The wiki lists windows where neither player can add items and trades that both players accepted without anything moving, and says a broken trade means rejoining the server.

Delivery bots, ours included, use this same window: the bot puts the items on its side, your side stays empty, and you accept. How MM2 trade bots work covers the rest.

Where do players trade MM2 items?

In any server two players share, since the Trade button is in every server's player list. Public servers are built around playing rounds, though, so trading has servers of its own. The wiki records them filling up on weekends by summer 2019, when another was added, with five more in 2020.

What are MM2 trading servers?

Private MM2 servers set up for trading. The wiki lists the ones run by the two big value-list communities, MM2Values and Supreme Values. A private server never shows up in the normal server list; the only way in is its link, published by whoever runs it. Inside, a trading server looks like any other, with three differences the wiki notes: coins don't appear, there are no Hardcore or Assassin rounds, and playing earns no XP.

Take server links only from those communities' own pages. A real one is a roblox.com link that opens the game, and joining never needs your password typed into another site.

What does W/F/L mean in MM2 trading?

Win, fair or lose, often typed WFL. Traders ask it about an offer, and the answer compares the two sides:

AnswerStands forThe items coming in are worth
WWinMore than the items going out
FFairRoughly the same
LLoseLess than the items going out

"Worth" means community value added up across each side, and trade calculators do that sum for you. A W/F/L answer is only as good as the value list behind it.

Where do MM2 values come from?

Nobody official sets them. The values traders quote are community estimates, and the wiki names two main lists: Supreme Values and MM2Values. They don't share a unit. MM2Values quotes items in Seers, the Godly knife anyone can craft, while Supreme Values uses value units of its own.

A value is a judgement rather than a measurement. The wiki describes an item's trade value as a blend of base value, demand, rarity and stability, which is why two lists can disagree about the same knife, and why either can trail what is actually changing hands. MM2 Item Values, Explained goes further into how community value, trade value and cash price differ.

  • Match the exact variant. There are seven Seers alone: the green original, five painted colours and the Chroma.
  • Check both lists. Where they disagree, the item is contested and its price is a negotiation.
  • Know the history. The wiki ties some of MM2's biggest value drops to duping glitches: Corrupt after 2017, the older Chromas after 2019, Icewing after 2022.

What are the common MM2 trading scams?

The trade window itself is fair: both offers are in view, nothing moves until both players accept, and any change wipes the other player's accept. Scams work around it:

ScamHow to spot itWhat to do
Going firstThey want your item now and promise theirs in the next trade, or want it passed to a "middleman" to holdDecline: outside the window, all the risk is yours
Last-second swapAn item is pulled or replaced just before you accept, often with a lookalike: the plain version of a Chroma, or another Seer colourRead the whole offer again before you re-accept
Untradeable itemsA promised Unique or Evo knife, or an effect, emote, power or radio in the windowDecline: none of it can reach you
Cheap big stacksA large stack of one high-tier item at a bargainPass. That is what a duped stack looks like
Account requestsA request for your password, your 2-Step code or a login on another website, to "check your inventory" or "verify" an itemRefuse. Trades have no verification step

The wiki records an exploit in early 2022 that let scammers show effects, emotes, powers and radios in the window, when only the weapons and pets went through.

Duped stacks get dealt with after the fact. The wiki records Nikilis banning accounts holding more than 190 Batwings in 2021, after a Discord server had handed duplicated ones out as invite rewards; deleting most large duplicated stacks of shop items in October 2022; and banning holders of big Harvester stacks after the 2021 Candleflame glitch.

How do you trade safely in MM2?

  • Keep the whole trade inside one window, and never give first.
  • Reread both sides after every countdown: each item, each variant, each quantity.
  • Price the trade yourself from a value list, not from a number someone else quotes.
  • Treat hurry as a warning sign. A deal that has to happen right now is built so that you don't read it.
  • Wait out Roblox outages. The wiki records a data-loss glitch, the kind that usually follows a trade, hitting players on 26 May 2025, a day Roblox's servers were down.
